Words from an over-achieving dad to an under-achieving son…
My dad always used to say, especially when he knew I was about to settle for mediocrity, when mastery was well within reach… “Rich, if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got!”
So my question to you, the leaders in the Glocal Church is… “Mediocrity or Mastery?” There’s no room in the middle!

Mediocrity and Mastery
While I myself am not athletic, I marvel by the physical abilities that athletes have. And perhaps even more so marvel at fans in the stands who scorn the athletes on the field who don’t make that certain play. (when the prior 99 plays were made without a glitch). As fans, do we realize the amount of practice hours the players have put in, their stringent diet they must keep? Do we as patients realize the knowledge of a surgical doctor? (do we want to know?) Do we really want to live the life of Paul or just be able to discuss his trials and sucesses? Is it fair to say that the distance between Mediocrity and Mastery is much farther than between Poor and Mediocrity? I believe God wants our Mastery not our Mediocrity.
