Risks vs. Regrets
The following was adapted from Chase the Lion by Mark Batterson, Pastor at National Community Church, which is inside the beltway in Washington D. C. His congregation consists of primarily young professionals who work on Captial Hill.
“…Your greatest regret at the end of your life will be the risks you didn’t take. You will look back longingly on those risks not taken, opportunities not seized, and dreams not pursued. Stop running away from what scares you, and start chasing the God-ordained opportunities that cross your path.
Action regrets taste bad, but inaction regrets leave a bitter aftertaste that lasts a lifetime. They haunt us because they leave us asking ‘what if?’. What if we had taken the risk instead of running away?
